As a former punk musician, member of the legendary comedy trio Studio Braun and designers of the “Scheiße by Schamoni” jewelry collection, Rocko Schamoni is very familiar with irony and satire, but also protest as an art form. On the occasion of the exhibition “Unlock your head at last! — Dada as political art between the world wars” He talks to curator Dr. Katharina Günther about Dada art as inspiration, nonsense, absurdity and humor as a means of style and struggle in art.

Rocko Schamoni is an author, entertainer, musician, actor and stage performer. He lives in Hamburg. With his bestsellers of novels such as “Dorfpunks” and “Große Freiheit”, he fills halls. For many years, he ran the legendary “Golden Poodle Club” on St. Pauli together with Schorsch Kamerun.
