Dada als politische Kunst zwischen den Weltkriegen

Rund 100 Gäste kamen am 9. Mai zur Eröffnung der Dada-Schau „Sperren Sie endlich Ihren Kopf auf!“ Dada als politische Kunst zwischen den Weltkriegen ins Zentrum für verfolgte Künste. Kuratorin Dr. Katharina Günther präsentierte die vielfältigen Werke der Dada-Künstler:innen, die auch nach dem Ende der Bewegung künstlerisch und politisch aktiv blieben und während der NS-Zeit in Deutschland als „entartet“ diffamiert wurden.

Anwesend waren zahlreiche Leihgeber:innen und Autorinnen sowie der Enkel von „Oberdada“ Johannes Baader, Dieter Baader mit seiner Tochter.

Die Ausstellung ist bis zum 13. September 2026 zu sehen. Zur Ausstellung erscheint ein zweisprachiger Katalog im Hirmer-Verlag. Mit Essays von Katharina Günther, Hanne Bergius, Lucy Byford, Agathe Mareuge und „Let’s do it a Dada“ von Jürgen Joseph Kaumkötter.
