We are very pleased to co-present for the first time the exhibition “Klasse Kunst!”, which the Solingen Art Museum has established in recent years. We offer Solingen schools the opportunity to view works of art created in class by November 7 to 16, 2025 to present in an exhibition in the museum.
The motto of the exhibition “Klasse Kunst! “is deliberately kept open in order to avoid restrictive thematic requirements. Quality, artistic standards and originality are required. We leave the form in which they design their work to the schools and look forward to a wide range of suggestions. However, the participating groups should each agree on a common topic in order to be able to present their contribution consistently.
The competition is open to classes, courses, working groups or project groups. They can apply to participate from 8th grade onward. When presenting the topics, all media are allowed: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, video or performance.
The exhibition takes place in the museum's temporary exhibition space.
A jury makes the selection to award the best contributions with the Christel-Fervers Jury Prize
1st jury prize: 500€
2nd jury prize: 300€
3rd jury prize: 200€
and the audience makes the selection to award the Stadtwerke Solingen Audience Prize, which is organized by Center for Persecuted Arts
